  After having spent a long time searching for a suitable provider of a log burner to be installed into our home, we were recommended to use Chase Heating. We were quoted and advised upon the package, though this was without the advice of the installation of a storm cowl as we were subsequently told by the MD of Chase Heating "it would have pushed the quote up and we probably wouldnt have bought from them" This was ill advised due to the positioning of house as it would soon prove to have been an essential need to have one fitted. After issues with smoke leakage into the house and also rain pouring down the chimney and flooding the burner, causing leakage onto the newly fitted stone hearth, we contacted Chase Heating regarding the issues, the managing director came out to assess the situation and advised us we needed a storm cowl. The lack of initial advice and assesment of the situation was greatly lacking and consequently the after care was very poor with the feeling of the company washing their hands of the situation and after 6 weeks there was still no follow up by the company either by phone, email or letter.When we called to chase this up we were advised that the MD was on holiday and that no one else would be able to help us. We have now had a local installer out to fix the situation and they have been more than accomodating at rectifying the problem that Chase Heating should have dealt with in the initial installation.
